Singapore competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece.

Athletics

Neither Singaporean athlete managed to progress beyond the opening round of their competition.

Men's 100 metres:
*Round 1 — 10.75 s (7th in heat 1, did not advance, 62nd overall)


Women's Shot Put:
*Qualification — 16.58 m (11th in Group A, did not advance, 24th overall)


Badminton

World #1 Lin Dan of China had an unfortunate draw by getting Singapore's world #9 Ronald Susilo in the first round. Susilo dismissed Lin in straight sets, then beat his German opponent in the second round. He lost the first set 15-10 to his Thai opponent in the quarters, and then fell apart, losing the second set 15-1 and ending his Olympic run two matches short of a medal spot. The two women entrants were not as successful against their first round matches against Chinese opposition.
