He holds a degree in English Literature and a Post Graduate Diploma in Web Design. He studied at St Xaviers College Thumba.
Career
He shot into fame in 2006 with the television filmNeermathalathinte Pookkal adapted from a short story by Malayalam writer Kamala Surayya. The film was telecast on Amrita TV and brought him critical acclaim and several awards.
He started his career as casual production assistant and script writer 1994–2001 with Doordarshan and later was associated with all major television channels in Kerala, including Asianet, Indiavision, Jeevan TV and Kairali TV. Currently he works for Amrita TV as senior program producer. He is also the producer and director of Chitranjali, a music based program on Amrita TV.
His directorial venture, Orkkuka Vallappozhum, starring mainstream Malayalam actors, won him the Atlas Film Critics Award for best début director.
