Description:
The Spain national field hockey team represents Spain in the international field hockey competitions. The team, coached by Dutchman Maurits Hendriks since 2002, competed in every World Cup since the first edition in 1971. Spain is ranked fourth in the world, as of June 30, 2008. Hendriks resigned in December 2008 to become the new chief officer in Dutch Sports, as the successor of Charles van Commenée.
