Donald recently signed for English Premiership outfit Bath for a two and a half year deal. He will probably join up with Bath after the World Cup in his native New Zealand. He will hope to be back playing at his best when he eventually arrives at The Recreation Ground in Bath.
It was revealed on 18 July 2011 that Donald had been denied a work permit so he won't be playing for Bath next season. The Blues also denied reports saying Donald had signed with them for the 2012 Super Rugby season as a replacement for Stephen Brett and Luke McAlister who are both heading overseas.
