Susan Wagle is a Republican member of the Kansas Senate representing Kansas' 30th district since 2001. Wagle was the Republican nominee for Lieutenant Governor in 2006, with running mate State Senator Jim Barnett. She gained national recognition for her opposition to a human sexuality class at the University of Kansas and her unsuccessful campaign to eliminate funding for the University's school of social welfare.
