Kelly suddenly had a lot of organizing to do for her Wedding, there was so much to plan. The job of arranging the Hen Weekend fell to me and I wanted to make it really special with lots of fun Hen Activities. I had been on a few Hen Weekends myself but this was the first one I had arranged. The first thing I decided to do was to arrange a Hen Committee to decide what Hen Activities we would be doing. So I asked the bride and her maids of honour over to my house for drinks and we started to throw around ideas. It turned out that everyone had very different ideas about what to do. It was not going to be easy keeping everyone happy all of the time, some people wanted wild others wanted quiet and slow. This is when I decided that from here on I would have one rule, the weekend was about making the bride the centre of attention and all the Hen Activities would have this as their focus. Everyone else's needs would certainly be taken into account but they would take a second place when decisions were made. This turned out to be the best decision I made and I recommend this approach if you are ever called on to organise a Hen Weekend yourself.

So in end what did we all decide on? Travelling far wasn't something Kelly wanted to do so we decided to stay local and focus things around London. There are so many things and ideas out there it was difficult to know where to start. We all agreed that Saturday should be spent spoiling oursleves at a Spa during the day and then we would head out on the town and make it a night to remember. The spa was a fun start to the weekend it was a great bonding opportunity for some of the girls who we hadn't seen for a while. There were all sorts of choices from massages to mud baths, it was a really fun day and we all spoiled ourselves with champagne and chocolates. In the evening we hired two limousines which really weren't that expensive and toured the west end of London. It was great to have our ride waiting outside each venue ready and waiting with more champagne to take us to the next fun spot. On Sunday morning some of us were suffering from too much to drink but what we had in store would soon blow out all the cobwebs. We hired a music studio which wasn't that expensive in central London for 3 hours and went along to do something completely original. It was brilliant, we got to be that girl band we had always wanted to be and will help of the team at the studio we had a ball! All in the all the weekend was a great success so when Emma was popped the questions in May last year we prepared to have another go. The first weekend was so much fun Emma asked that we do exactly the same thing. I asked Emma if she was sure because we wanted to do something special for her as well but you know what the second weekend was just as good but for different reasons. We had ironed out a few of the bumps and it all went toff again without as hitch.
