The Foundation for Young Australians (or FYA) is an Australian non-profit organisation committed to improving the learning outcomes and life chances of young Australians.
Activities include provision of scholarships and school development programmes. The ruMAD? (Are You Making A Difference?) programme encourages student leadership and advocacy.
The organisation began in 1999 as a joint venture of the Australian Youth Foundation and The Queen’s Trust. In 2008, it assumed the activities of the Education Foundation, an organisation which was established in 1989 to support public education throughout Australia.
