- Comment & Debate
In December 2010 the newspaper became the first student publication in the UK to launch an iPhone app.
The Founder's launch was covered in the London Student
in January 2007. Interviewing a number of students on campus, the newspaper concluded that The Founder seemed to have been created by people who "had done it before". The article further commented on the "professional" look of the newspaper and the "impressive" way in which it apparently operated both financially and editorially independently of both the Students' Union and the College.
In June 2008, writing from The Founder newspaper was showcased in the inaugural issue of "FS Magazine" as an example of "the best of student journalism".
In 2011, The Founder's Features Editor Kate Brook was recognised at the London Student Journalism Awards as the year's Best Feature Writer.
