The ScotiabankToronto Waterfront Marathon is an annual marathon held in Toronto, Ontario, Canada on the last Sunday in September. Starting from 2011, the marathon will be held in October. The race day also includes a half marathon and 5 km race.
The race has quickly become one of the most prestigious in North America. The marathon meets international standards and is a qualifier for the Boston Marathon. The marathon is also an IAAF Silver Label Road Race. It is not to be confused with the smaller GoodLife Fitness Toronto Marathon which used to be held three weeks later in October, but is now held on the first Sunday in May, beginning in 2012.
