TVNZ ondemand

TVNZ ondemand is a New Zealand online television viewing and downloading service offered by Television New Zealand in 2007. It offers a variety of free content, such as news updates and programmes seen on TVNZ channels (approximately 12 – 24 hours after they are screened).

TVNZ ondemand has been featured in some newspapers and radio interviews because a young teenager was able to access the unreleased website and start downloading shows, and other tasks.

TVNZ ondemand was officially launched March 20, 2007.

Since April 2010, TVNZ ondemand has been available on the PlayStation 3 as an extra option in the XrossMediaBar for anyone in New Zealand running version 3.10 of the system firmware or later.

Pricing

Content streamed though TVNZ ondemand was previously charged for. All content is now free, ad-supported, with advertisements being shown before and after videos.
