University of Health Sciences, Lahore

The University of Health Sciences (UHS) Lahore is a student-centered research university located in Lahore, the capital of the Punjab province of Pakistan. It was inaugurated on October 2, 2002. , about 26,000 undergraduate and 2600 postgraduate students are registered.

History

UHS started as a model medical university in 2002, with the aim to revitalize medical education and its standards in Punjab. Currently all government medical colleges and private medical colleges in Punjab are affiliated with it, except King Edward Medical University and Fatima Jinnah Medical College.

Courses offered

In addition to supervising undergraduate medical education, UHS is involved in the supervision of higher degrees, including MD and PhD.
