Fort Brown. It is a member of the
University of Texas System. The institution was formed from a partnership between Texas Southmost College and the University of Texas-Pan American at Brownsville. Since the partnership in 1991, the University of Texas at Brownsville and Texas Southmost College has been a growing force in South Texas higher education, providing unique opportunities for more than 17,000 students coming from various walks of life.
