University of the Punjab at Gujranwala

The University of the Punjab (abbreviated PU) (Urdu: جامعه پنجاب), colloquially known as Punjab University, is located in Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan. It is the oldest and largest university in Pakistan. It was formed after the first meeting of the Senate on 14 October 1882. It was the fourth university formed by the British Empire. A University of the Punjab campus has also been established at Gujranwala.

The University of the Punjab Gujranwala campus offers educational opportunities to inhabitants of the surrounding areas.

There are currently 4 departments in the university: Business Administration, Commerce,Law and Information Technology, and a new department, Mass Communication will be opening soon.
