Vali Reza Nasr (, born 1960) is a leading academic and influential expert on the Muslim world issues, and best-selling author and commentator on MIddle East affairs and Islamic politics. He is a Professor of International Politics at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy of Tufts University and a columnist with Bloomberg View.
Between 2009 and 2011 he served in the Obama administration as Senior Advisor to Richard Holbrooke, the Special Representative for Afghanistan and Pakistan.
