. It is located at 13°6'18N Latitude and 80°12'40E longitude. The area lies within the boundary of Chennai
city. It covers a huge area, which is expanded from Annanagar
in south to Madavaram
in north and from Ayanavaram
in east to Korattur
in west. Ambattur Industrial Estate and Integral Coach Factory are also located near Villivakkam.
This place has been a boon to the working class people of Chennai (esp people working in manufacturing
) as it acts as a bridge between the industrial estates of Ambattur and padi with the serene locality of Kilpauk Garden and the buzzing cosmo culture of Anna Nagar. Having been in the midst of rapid development phase with New fly overs all around , Mulitplexes and shopping malls sprawling up around it, this place still maintains its strong deep rooted culture and devotion to spirituality and god.
