Virbhadra Singh (born June 23, 1934) is the current Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises of the Republic of India. He became the Union Minister of MSME of the United Progressive Alliance government, led by the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, on June 21, 2010 .His portfolio was changed from Ministry of Steeel to MSME. He was also a five-time Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh state, from 1983 to 1990, from 1993 to 1998 and from 2003 to 2007. He is a member of the Indian National Congress.

Early life

Vir Bhadra Singh was born on June 23, 1934 as the successor of the King of Bushahr State, Sir Padam Singh K.C.S.I. at Sarahan Bushahr the summer capital & abode of Maa Shree Bhima Kali. It is situated at the height of 8 thousand feet above the sea level, in the home of then Rajmata Smt. Shanti Devi & Raja Bushahr Sir Padam Singh K.C.S.I. He succeeded his father as the 122nd king of Bushahr in 1947 at the age of 13.

As a very hardworking & people loving boy, he received his early education in Colonel Browney School Derhradun & Bishop Cotton School Shimla. He passed his graduation ( B.A. Hons.) from St. Stephens College Delhi & Post graduation in History securing First Division from the Delhi University.
