After his successful 1999 debut album "Black the Sun" reached No. 9 in Australia, Lloyd's second album went to incredible heights of success not just in Australia, but also in New Zealand. The album began to soar in popularity when the second single of the album "Amazing" was released, and proved to be Lloyd's first successful single, eventually being used on Ford commercials. The album itself meanwhile went double platinum in sales, stayed in the top fifty for 41 weeks and was the second highest selling album in Australia in 2002 beaten only by Kylie Minogue's album "Fever". The album also reached No. 22 in New Zealand and was in the top 50 for 8 weeks.
Singles success and chart performance
The first single of the album released was "Downtown" which proved to be a successful opening single, reaching No. 75 in Australia, and its video clip humoursly containing a puppet of Lloyd, as he couldn't be available to shoot the video clip. The second single, "Amazing" however proved to be Lloyds first major breakthrough, reaching No. 14 in Australia, stayed in the top fifty for 21 weeks and had gold sales.
