WEC 25: McCullough vs. Cope was the first mixed martial arts event held by the World Extreme Cagefighting under Zuffa management. The event was held on January 20, 2007. WEC 25's main event was a championship fight for the vacant WEC Lightweight Title, between rivals Rob McCullough and Kit Cope. The co-main event was a WEC Featherweight Title bout between champion, Urijah Faber and challenger Joe Pearson.


Lightweight bout: Richard Crunkilton vs. Mike Joy

Crunkilton defeats Joy by submission due to an Anaconda Choke at the 4:23 mark of the third round.

Bantamweight bout: Antonio Banuelos vs. Mike French

Banuelos defeats French by unanimous decision.

Welterweight bout: Carlos Condit vs. Kyle Jensen

Condit defeats Jensen by submission due to a Rear Naked Choke at the 2:10 mark of the first round.

Welterweight bout: Alex Karalexis vs. Olaf Alfonso

Karalexis defeats Alfonso by TKO due to a referee stoppage at the 3:53 mark of the second round.

Middleweight bout: Brendan Seguin vs. Fernando Gonzalez

Seguin defeats Gonzalez by unanimous decision.

Middleweight bout: Logan Clark vs. Blas Avena

Clark defeats Avena by TKO due to a referee stoppage at the 4:23 mark of the third round.

Welterweight bout: John Alessio vs. Brian Gassaway

Alessio defeats Gassaway by submission due to a Rear Naked Choke at the 4:50 mark of the first round.

Featherweight Championship bout: Urijah Faber vs. Joe Pearson
