William Kaiser Van Pelt (1905–1996) was a Republican member of the United States House of Representatives from 1951-1965, serving Wisconsin's 6th District. He was defeated for re-election in 1964 after serving seven terms.He was born in Glenbeulah, Wisconsin on March 10, 1905 and died on June 2, 1996. He moved to Fond du Lac, Wisconsin as a youth and resided there following his years in the United States Congress until his death. Congressman Van Pelt had two children, William and Julie and 4 grandchildren, James, Jeffrey, Keith and Troy. Today, his legacy includes 7 great-grandchildren, Alexandra (Alex), Adelaide( Addy ), Sophie, Brett, Bennett, Paige and Brittany.
