Woking College is a
Sixth Form College situated in the town of
Woking,
Surrey,
UK. Woking College provides full time education for approximately 800 students from 16 to 19 years old. Many students from
Woking High School, the local secondary
school, go on to the
college after completing their
GCSEs, but the
college attracts students from many other
schools often from different areas.
The
college is situated in
Old Woking, a short distance away from
Woking town centre. The
college offers a variety of AS and A2 courses as well as a range of Vocational Courses and a limited number of
GCSE options. Part-time Adult Education is also offered at venues across the Borough. The
college is also used by other organisations such as
English courses for foreign students during the summer holidays, and also as a training hall for the Korean martial art
Choi Kwang-Do, with the
Woking CKD school being based at the
college.
The
college's pass rates are generally above the national average, with the majority of courses achieving a 100% pass rate from grades A-E.
A varied programme of complementary activities is offered, from sport to drama as well as the popular Duke of Edinburgh Award and Young Enterprise schemes.
