Woolmanhill Hospital

Woolmanhill Hospital is a hospital in the centre of Aberdeen, Scotland.

History

Opened in 1749, it was the original Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, before this was moved to the Foresterhill site.

Current Use

There are now no in-patient beds in Woolmanhill.It now houses several out-patient and departments including Ear, Nose and Throat, Audiology, Diabetic and Physiotherapy out-patient and the genito-urinary medicine clinic. Other clinics are regularly held in the two Medical Out-Patient Departments in Woolmanhill. There is also a research unit for osteoporosis. Until April 2010, there was also an X-Ray and ECG department on site, but this has now closed.Also located at Woolmanhill is the health archives department, which includes historic medical records from patients across the NHS Grampian area....
