Yahya Golmohammadi has played most of his professional career for
Persepolis FC. In 1999 he moved to
Ahvazi club
Foolad, but returned to Persepolis after three seasons. In 2005 after Yahya left
Persepolis for a lucrative contract with
Saba Battery, many critics were skeptical about his success in this newly formed team, but Saba Battery, with the help of Golmohammadi and Iranian national teammate
Ali Daei, not only was a real surprise for winning the
Hazfi Cup, but also for doing extremely well in the
Asian Champions League, beating more experienced and seasoned campaigners.
On March 8, 2007 he pledged his future to
Saba Battery FC by signing a two year deal.
