Yu Hai (; born June 4, 1987 in Luoyang, Henan) is a Chinese international football player who currently plays for Shaanxi Chanba in the Chinese Super League.

Club career

Starting his professional football career with Xian Chanba, Yu Hai would make his debut against Qingdao Etsong on May 16, 2004 in a 2-2 draw. Despite predominately playing as a substitute throughout the season he played a significant part in Xian's third place finish at the end of the season. By the following 2005 league season he was establishing himself as a rising potential within the team and was starting in considerably more games within the team.

His agent Edmund Chu (who also represents Du Wei) would oversee Yu Hai's move to Vitesse where he would make his debut in the Eredivisie on March 18, 2007 in a 2-0 defeat against FC Utrecht. His time at Vitesse was to prove unsuccessful as Yu Hai was unable to establish himself within the team.He was released from Vitesse after the 2008 Summer Olympics,due to cruciate ligament damage in his left knee,suffered in July 2008.

Yu returned to Shaanxi Chanba at the beginning of the 2009 season where he played in twenty-nine league games and scored three goals at the end of the season.
