Zee Marathi

Zee Marathi () is India-based satellite television channel, which carries broadcasts in Marathi. Zee Network, India's leading infotainment network launched it in the year 1999. It is the most viewed television channel in Mumbai. It also attracts significant viewership in the rest of Maharashtra as well as other states.

Programmes

Zee Marathi, was launched in the year 2000 as Zee TV Marathi. Later it was renamed as Alpha Marathi. Finally in 2006, it became Zee Marathi.

Zee Marathi initiated the Zee Gaurav Puraskar, Awards for excellence in the world of Marathi entertainment.

With the launch of the Marathi movie channel Zee Talkies, the number of movies shown on Zee Marathi was reduced.

Zee Marathi used to carry news headlines at the top of every hour, apart from a couple of half-hourly bulletins in the morning and evening slots. Now Zee News Ltd. has launched a separate 24-hour Marathi news channel called Zee 24 Taas (meaning '24 hours'). It was the first Marathi channel giving round-the-clock news.
