Zina Mahjoub 'الثعبان' (literally translated to The Snake) was a Sudanesepoet and song writer during the early 20th century. She also became the celebrated poet Rashad Hashim's mistress and long-time muse, inspiring his famous poem The One Who Makes The Sun Shine.
Mahjoub was born on the 5 October 1933 and died on the 28 May 1957 giving birth to her third child.
